The 1-2-3's of Filmmaking

I try to keep this short. This is just at the top of my mind right now. But when it comes to filmmaking in general, remember these 3 tips.

1. Don't Obsess! When times get get tough, punch back. If you need to have more time to film but you are constantly bombarded with distracting things, just stop for a minute and breath. Try to tackle on the situation.

2. Quit Wasting Your Project Funds! It is unbelievable how many times young filmmakers need cash to fund their projects when they don't realize that they are the ones to blame. Don't buy a $600 camcorder for a $100 film.

3. Make A Plan and Stick To It! In the world of filmmaking, organization is key. Just write down a what-to-do plan and work from there.

Filmmaking Software

Youtube, one of the most recognized, if not 'the most', online video share site has pretty much become zero to hero central for those hoping to become the next big star. For you, I'm guessing, it is your one way ticket to getting yourself recognized as the greatest filmmaker ever, well on the web, at the least. You upload you finished project and hope that it gets a million plus views. Anyway, the point I'm trying to make here is that you have to know how to edit the raw video that you recorded with you camcorder. You'll obviously want it to look down right professional. Consider getting filmmaking software, like this one.

You could use Windows Movie Maker, but come on, we can do better, right? There many choices of the best kind of filmmaking software to choose from. It just depends on your taste. There's Adobe, Sony Vegas, Pinnacle, but what about the real professional, step by step filmmaking kits? Well, I would strongly consider the No Budget Filmmaking Kit because they basically have almost the entire process of filmmaking on a budget all in one package, without the need to attend film schools or college. Hey, go check it out and see for yourself! And check out this squidoo lens on filmmaking software.

Common Newbie Amateur Filmmaking Mistakes

Have you ever been on youtube to watch and judge someone's so-called 'masterpiece', and then realized that it just sucked so hard that your grandmother could film a better movie?
Well, I know I had. And I wished that they would just do a little research on how to do better filming techniques before they just pop up a random 'junker-piece'. Or even better yet, learn how do filmmaking on a budget using this kit.

Some of the most common errors I've seen is jump to jump shot scenes, background music is way too loud(you can't even hear the main subject speaking for the matter), and the wrong kind of filming environment for the movie(if it is about about Baja desert racing, for example, you wouldn't want to have a scene of a dock near the shoreline).

That last example was a little bit on the extreme side, but you get the idea. All that I'm saying is do your homework before jumping to the camera. You should read this squidoo lens about amateur filmmaking. It has some basic ideas on how to get started in amateur filmmaking.

A World In No Budget Filmmaking

What the concept may be, chances are you are in it to get your goals accomplished. I'm talking about amateur filmmaking. The only real true kit that can help you learn how filmmaking works is the No Budget Filmmaking Kit.
You should definitely check it out and even buy the kit if you want a jump start to amateur filmmaking on a budget.
